Otuataua Stonefields (Mangere) – follow link for more information

Currently (2015-16) there is a move to developing land close to the Otuataua stonefields near Mangere which are probably the best representation of pre-European maara/gardens which supported a large Maori population.  Follow the links below for some of the community responses and more information generally.  More information on the history here.
