The Potato Museum, started (1975) in Brussels, Belgium, is the world’s first museum about the potato and features the planet’s largest collection about this valuable vegetable. Otuataua Stonefields (Mangere) – follow link for more information

Currently (2015-16) there is a move to developing land close to the Otuataua stonefields near Mangere which are probably the best representation of pre-European maara/gardens which supported a large Maori population.  Follow the links below for some of the community responses and more information generally.  More information on the history here.

The International Potato Centre is a hub of research aligned to potatoes, sweetpotatoes and other root crops.  The Centre has its primary campus in Lima, Peru with a number of satellite research locations around the world.  Check out their current work.
